These EASY stove-top caramelized pecans (or walnuts, or cashews, or almonds- you get the point!) can be used as a delicious snack, served on a salad or as a dessert topping!
Ingredients:
1 cup raw pecans (or other nut)
3 tbsp of pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp ghee
1 heaping tsp cinnamon (or all-spice, if cinnamon allergy)
Sea salt to taste
Directions:
Coat bottom of skillet with ghee.
Add maple syrup, cinnamon and pecans to skillet.
Continue stirring until maple syrup begins to caramelized (about 5 minutes)
Place nuts on parchment paper (sprinkle with salt if so desired) and allow to cool completely before eating.
